Mate, take the day off. You’re clearly tired, and you’re clearly not getting anything done. You’ve put in an honest effort.
You’re going to spend the rest of the day trying and not getting anything done.
Alternatively, you could admit to yourself that nothings gonna get done today, and give yourself permission to actually do something fun so that you can come back tomorrow more energized and ready to tackle the work.
Just give yourself permission to go outside, and spend a few hours in the company of fun friends or take a walk and listen to some music.
I think we’re conditioned to make something of every day, and that can be tiring. It’s more important to remember what you’re living for, and for most of us, we’re living to have a good happy life.
Life isn’t something we arrive at a few years from now when we finally pass the next finish line. It’s right now. If you’re happy right now, and you’re moving towards happiness in the future, that’s enough.
If you’re not happy right now, then take a step back, and stop worrying. It’s a nice time to be alive. And if you don’t feel like that right now, then that’s a good reason to take the day off if I’ve ever heard one.
